TheSlowMusicMovement What a great first spaced out jazz single, it sounded great in the radio show and I'm now psyched for the LP.

about

“Landing and Parking,” the debut single from Amir Bresler’s first solo LP, House of Arches, oozes slowly out of your speakers — for exactly 45 seconds. That’s when Bresler launches into a kaleidoscopic beat and bassist Gilad Abro begins sprinting up and down the frets. The track was born from a playful desire to explore the Indian drones they loved from Alice Coltrane tunes, but then layer acrobatic jazz on top. “Landing and Parking” is the sound of three virtuosos locking into a groove and riding it together without compromising their own creativity for a second: Rejoicer’s glistening keys hovering above Bresler’s somersaulting drums and Abro’s how-did-he-do-that stand-up bass. It’s the perfect intro to House of Arches — familiar, fit for listens on repeat, but utterly from another world.

Today, Amir's the most in-demand drummer in the Middle East—no one makes your body move quite like him. ... more
