To create “Oozing,” the second single off Amir Bresler, Nitai Hershkovits and Nomok’s new EP ‘Rollin Until Late,’ the trio celebrated the raw power of the riff. They invited two other Tel Aviv music scene staples — their friends Uzi Ramirez on guitar and Ofri Nehemya on drums — to add some spice to the funk-jazz stew they’d been cooking, and let it fly. “Uzi brought the vibe: Hendrix-style, old-school rock ‘n’ roll,” Hershkovits says. On an otherwise keyboard-heavy EP, “Oozing” is all about guitar — loud and brash, Ramirez embracing his inner rock god. “This is exactly what comes out when you put five different musical brains in one room. So much chaos going into one three-minute song.”
